In order to well understand or study the Bible, it is useful to know those who talk about it and what they say about it. Referencing the commentators of the Bible and their commentaries, this is the ambition of Biible.

This service will be of interest to the different christian or jewish denominations. Priest, pastors or rabbis and more generally anyone who has interest in the Bible - to meditate or to prepare religious ceremonies- will have tanks to Biible a mean to quickly find what he is looking for.

Indeed a classical search engine does not have any intelligence of biblical references and of pages containing them ! What allows Biible to be much more relevant than a classical search engine is its ability to focus on indexing WEB pages embedding biblical reference content.

This indexing of biblical references is done in many languages (more are to come still) and in a neutral way (regarding the different religions or christian denomination commenting on Bible verses).

Biible is build upon Open Source technology from the Apache foundation and namely upon Nutch.
